Provided is a reinforcing bar for nitriding having the following chemical composition, in percentage by mass: 0.09-0.30% C; 0.01-0.50% Si; more than 2.20% but not more than 3.50% Mn; not more than 0.050% P; 0.001-0.100% S; 0.02-0.80% Cr; 0.10-0.40% V; 0.001-0.080% Al; not more than 0.0250% N; not more than 0.0050% O, 0-0.050% Ti; 0-0.05% Nb; 0-0.10% Mo; 0-0.30% Cu; 0-0.30% Ni; 0-0.35% Bi; 0-0.0050% B; with the remainder being made up of Fe and unavoidable impurities. The total of pro-eutectoid ferrite and pearlite makes up at least 35% of the average surface area of the entire metal structure.

L'invention concerne une barre de renfort pour nitruration ayant la composition chimique suivante, en pourcentage en masse : 0,09 à 0,30 % de C ; 0,01 à 0,50 % de Si ; plus de 2,20 % mais pas plus de 3,50 % de Mn ; pas plus de 0,050 % de P ; 0,001 à 0,100 % de S ; 0,02 à 0,80 % de Cr ; 0,10 à 0,40 % de V ; de 0,001 à 0,080 % d'Al ; pas plus de 0,0250 % de N ; pas plus de 0,0050 % de O, 0 à 0,050 % de Ti ; 0 à 0,05 % de Nb ; 0 à 0,10 % de Mo ; 0 à 0,30 % de Cu ; 0 à 0,30 % de Ni ; 0 à 0,35 % de Bi ; 0 à 0,0050 % de B ; le reste étant constitué de Fe et d'impuretés inévitables. Le total de ferrite et de perlite pro-eutectoïde constitue au moins 35 % de la surface spécifique moyenne de la totalité de la structure métallique.
