Abstract
(EN)
A planar Hall effect (PHE) sensor for measuring at an external magnetic field includes a plurality of elongated magnetic regions. Each magnetic region includes a ferromagnetic material that is magnetized along a longitudinal axis. The magnetic regions cross one another at an overlap region that is characterized by a plurality of easy magnetic axes. At least two pairs of electrical leads are each aligned along one of the easy magnetic axes. A current source may be connected to a first pair of the electrical leads to cause a current to flow through the overlap region along a first easy magnetic axis. A voltage measurement device may be connected to another pair of the electrical leads to measure a PHE voltage that is generated by a component of the external magnetic field that is perpendicular to the easy magnetic axis along which the overlap region is magnetized.

L'invention concerne un capteur à effet Hall planaire (PHE) permettant de la mesure au niveau d'un champ magnétique externe et comprenant une pluralité de régions magnétiques allongées. Chaque région magnétique comprend un matériau ferromagnétique qui est magnétisé le long d'un axe longitudinal. Les régions magnétiques se croisent au niveau d'une région de chevauchement qui se caractérise par une pluralité d'axes magnétiques faciles. Au moins deux paires de conducteurs électriques sont chacune alignées le long d'un des axes magnétiques faciles. Une source de courant peut être connectée à une première paire de fils électriques pour amener un courant à circuler à travers la région de chevauchement, le long d'un premier axe magnétique facile. Un dispositif de mesure de tension peut être connecté à une autre paire de conducteurs électriques pour mesurer une tension de PHE qui est générée par une composante du champ magnétique externe qui est perpendiculaire à l'axe magnétique facile le long duquel est magnétisée la région de chevauchement.
