Abstract:
(EN) A system and a process for capturing Carbon Dioxide (CO2) from flue gases are disclosed. The process comprises feeding a flue gas comprising CO2 to at least one Rotary Packed Bed (RPB) absorber rotating circularly. A solvent may be provided through an inner radius of the RPB absorber. The solvent may move towards an outer radius of the RPB absorber. The solvent may react with the flue gas in a counter-current flow. The process further includes passing the flue gas through at least one of a water wash and an acid wash to remove traces of the solvent present in the flue gas. Finally, the solvent reacted with the CO2 may be thermally regenerated for re-utilizing the solvent back in the process.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de capture de dioxyde de carbone (CO2) à partir de gaz de combustion. Le procédé comprend la fourniture d'un gaz de combustion comprenant du CO2 dans au moins un absorbeur à lit fixe rotatif (absorbeur RPB) tournant de manière circulaire. Un solvant peut être fourni par un rayon interne de l'absorbeur RPB. Le solvant peut se déplacer vers un rayon externe de l'absorbeur RPB. Le solvant peut réagir avec le gaz de combustion dans un flux à contre-courant. Le procédé comprend en outre le soumission du gaz de combustion à un lavage à l'eau et/ou un lavage à l'acide pour éliminer les traces du solvant présent dans le gaz de combustion. Enfin, le solvant ayant réagi avec le CO2 peut être régénéré thermiquement pour la réutilisation du solvant dans le procédé.
