The invention relates to a catalyst comprising a substrate that is based on alumina or silica or silica-alumina, at least one element from group VIII (groups 8, 9, 10), at least one element from group VIB (group 6), and an organic compound of formula (I), in which R1 is selected from a hydroxyl group or an aliphatic carboxylic acid group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms and R2 is selected from a hydroxyl group or a glucoside group. The compound of formula (I) can be DL-ascorbic acid. The catalyst is used in a process for hydroprocessing or hydrocracking hydrocarbon fractions.

L'invention a pour objet un catalyseur comprenant un support à base d'alumine ou de silice ou de silice-alumine, au moins un élément du groupe VIII (groupes 8, 9, 10), au moins un élément du groupe VIB (groupe 6), et un composé organique de formule (I) dans laquelle R1 est choisi parmi un groupement hydroxyle ou un groupement acide carboxylique aliphatique comprenant de 1 à 18 carbones et R2 est choisi parmi un groupement hydroxyle ou un groupement glucoside. Le composé de formule (I) peut être l'acide DL-ascorbique. Le catalyseur est utilisé dans un procédé d'hydrotraitement ou d'hydrocraquage de coupes hydrocarbonées.
