Controlling electric vehicle (EV) charging operation by controlling capturing (602), from a pilot line (17) communicatively linking an EV (16) with an EV charging apparatus (15), at least one signal of a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal or power line communication (PLC) signal indicating EV charging session information associated with charging the EV (16) by the charging apparatus (15); determining (604), from session success information from a controller of the charging apparatus, whether to analyze the EV charging session information; and when the session success information is determined to not indicate successful completion of an EV charging session, extracting (606) the EV charging session information from the at least one signal according to Internet protocol layer, and analyzing (606) the extracted EV charging session information to determine a marginal operating condition or a failure condition associated with an EV charging session.

La présente invention consiste à commander le fonctionnement de la charge d'un véhicule électrique (EV) par commande de la capture (602), à partir d'une ligne pilote (17) reliant en communication un EV (16) avec un appareil de charge d'EV (15), d'au moins un signal d'un signal modulé en largeur d'impulsion (PWM) ou d'un signal de communication par courants porteurs (PLC) indiquant des informations de session de charge d'EV associées à la charge de l'EV (16) par l'appareil de charge (15); à déterminer (604), à partir d'informations de réussite de session provenant d'un dispositif de commande de l'appareil de charge, s'il faut analyser les informations de session de charge de l'EV; et lorsqu'il est déterminé que les informations de réussite de session n'indiquent pas la réussite d'une session de charge d'EV, à extraire (606) les informations de session de charge d'EV provenant du ou des signaux selon la couche de protocole Internet, et à analyser (606) les informations de session de charge d'EV extraites pour déterminer une condition de fonctionnement marginal ou une condition de défaillance associées à une session de charge d'EV.
