Abstract
(EN) A touch information acquisition unit (31) acquires touch information that includes the position of a touch point and the electrostatic capacitance of the touch point. A touch means determination unit (32) uses the touch information to determine whether the touch point is generated by a finger or by an input device (1) while in contact with a finger, and thereby determines whether there is a touch point generated by the input device (1) while in contact with a finger. When it is determined that there is a touch point generated by the input device (1) while in contact with a finger and the total number of touch points on a touch panel (2) exceeds an upper limit value for valid points, an operation determination unit (33) determines the proportion of finger-generated touch points exceeding the total number of touch points for the upper limit value of valid points to be invalid touches, and designates said touch points as touch release operations.
