Provided is an induction hardening device (1) provided with: a heating part having a primary coil member (12) comprising a winding (12a), and a hollow cylindrical secondary coil member (13) which is disposed inside the winding (12a) of the primary coil member (12) and in which a shaft body (101) can be inserted, the heating part being capable of moving relative to the shaft body (101) along the axial direction of the shaft body (101); and a cooling part (16) which has a jetting nozzle (18) capable of jetting a cooling liquid to the surface of the shaft body (101), is disposed to the rear in the relative movement direction of the heating part, and is capable of moving relative to the shaft body (101) along the axial direction of the shaft body (101) together with the heating part; the length (L2) of the secondary coil member (13) along the relative movement direction thereof being greater than the coil length (L1) of the primary coil member (12), and a coil end (13e) on the cooling part (16) side protruding further toward the cooling part (16) than a coil end (12d) on the cooling part (16) side of the primary coil member (12).
