The disclosed embodiments provide a system that implements a low-aperture-delay sampler. The system includes a sampler input, which receives an input signal, and a clock input, which receives a clock signal. The system also includes: a first sampling channel, which samples the input signal when the clock signal is low and is associated with a previous clock phase; and a second sampling channel, which samples the input signal when a rising edge is received in the clock signal, wherein the rising edge is associated with a present clock phase. The system additionally includes a combining mechanism, which combines outputs of the first and second sampling channels to produce a sampler output with a significantly reduced aperture delay.

Les modes de réalisation de la présente invention concernent un système mettant en œuvre un échantillonneur à faible retard d'ouverture. Le système comprend une entrée d'échantillonneur, qui reçoit un signal d'entrée, et une entrée d'horloge, qui reçoit un signal d'horloge. Le système comprend également : un premier canal d'échantillonnage, qui échantillonne le signal d'entrée lorsque le signal d'horloge est faible et qui est associé à une phase d'horloge précédente; et un second canal d'échantillonnage, qui échantillonne le signal d'entrée lorsqu'un front montant est reçu dans le signal d'horloge, le front montant étant associé à une phase d'horloge présente. Le système comprend en outre un mécanisme de combinaison qui combine les sorties des premier et second canaux d'échantillonnage pour produire une sortie d'échantillonneur avec un retard d'ouverture nettement réduit.
