Abstract

A heterodyne Mm-wave fiber-wireless system using twin single-side-band orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (Twin-SSB-OFDM) transmission scheme with low-cost electrical filters is described. Because the signal generation is based on optical heterodyne with non-ideal laser sources, there is a time-varying carrier frequency offset (CFO) in the system. To mitigate the CFO effect and simultaneously realize down-conversion, a blind carrier recovery method is described.

L'invention concerne un système fibre-sans fil hétérodyne à ondes millimétriques utilisant un schéma de transmission à multiplexage par répartition orthogonale de la fréquence à double bande latérale unique (double-SSB-OFDM) avec des filtres électriques à faible coût. Étant donné que la génération de signaux est basée sur un hétérodyne optique avec des sources laser non idéales, il existe un décalage de fréquence porteuse (CFO) variant dans le temps dans le système. Pour atténuer l'effet CFO et réaliser simultanément une conversion descendante, un procédé de récupération de porteuse aveugle est décrit.
