A polymetalloxane according to an embodiment of the present invention has a structural unit represented by general formula (1). (In general formula (1), R1 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-10 alkyl group. R2 and R3 are independently a hydrogen atom, a C1-12 alkyl group, a C5-12 alicyclic alkyl group, a C6-30 aromatic group, or a C1-12 acyl group. R2 and R3 are connected by a carbon-carbon saturated bond or a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond, and may form a ring structure. a is an integer of 0 or 1. M represents a metal atom selected from the group consisting of Al, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, In, Sn, Sb, Hf, Ta, W, Re, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, Tl, and Bi. m is an integer representing the valence of the metal atom M. b is an integer from 1 to (m-2).)
