Provided is a flow cytometer in which detection of light produced from particles is not readily affected by changes in the flow velocity of a liquid flowing within a flow cell. This flow cytometer is provided with a flow cell (10) in the interior of which a liquid flows, a liquid sending unit (40) for sending the liquid into the flow cell (10), a control unit (300) for acquiring information pertaining to the flow velocity of the liquid flowing within the flow cell (10), a light source (121) for irradiating the liquid flowing within the flow cell (10) with light, and a detector (162) for detecting light produced from particles in the liquid that was irradiated with light, the liquid sending unit (40) changing liquid sending conditions on the basis of the information pertaining to the flow velocity as acquired by the control unit (300).

La présente invention concerne un cytomètre de flux dans lequel la détection de la lumière produite à partir de particules n'est pas facilement affectée par des changements de la vitesse d'écoulement d'un liquide s'écoulant à l'intérieur d'une cellule d'écoulement. Ce cytomètre de flux est pourvu d'une cellule d'écoulement (10) à l'intérieur de laquelle s'écoule un liquide, d'une unité d'envoi de liquide (40) destinée à envoyer le liquide dans la cellule d'écoulement (10), d'une unité de commande (300) destinée à acquérir des informations se rapportant à la vitesse d'écoulement du liquide s'écoulant à l'intérieur de la cellule d'écoulement (10), d'une source de lumière (121) destinée à éclairer le liquide s'écoulant à l'intérieur de la cellule d'écoulement (10) avec de la lumière, et d'un détecteur (162) destiné à détecter la lumière produite à partir de particules dans le liquide qui a été éclairé avec de la lumière, l'unité d'envoi de liquide (40) changeant des conditions d'envoi de liquide sur la base des informations se rapportant à la vitesse d'écoulement telles qu'elles ont été acquises par l'unité de commande (300).
