(FR) MÉTHODE DE DIAGNOSTIC D'UN TROUBLE DU SPECTRE AUTISTIQUE

Abstract

(EN) The present invention provides methods for diagnosing an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), comprising detecting the concentration of an amino acid adduct in a sample obtained from a subject, wherein said amino acid adduct is a glycated amino acid adduct, an oxidised amino acid adduct, or a nitrated amino acid adduct. Methods of the invention further comprise comparing the concentration of the amino acid adduct in the sample with the concentration of the same amino acid adduct in a reference standard; and identifying the presence or absence of a concentration difference of said amino acid adduct in the sample relative to the reference standard; wherein the presence or absence of a concentration difference correlates with the presence or absence of ASD. Diagnostic algorithms for use in methods of the invention are also provided.

(FR) La présente invention concerne des méthodes de diagnostic d'un trouble du spectre autistique (ASD), comprenant la détection de la concentration d'un produit d'addition d'acides aminés dans un échantillon obtenu chez un sujet, ledit produit d'addition d'acide aminé constituant un produit d'addition d'acide aminé glycaté, un produit d'addition d'acide aminé oxydé ou un produit d'addition d'acide aminé nitré. Les méthodes de l'invention comprennent en outre la comparaison de la concentration du produit d'addition d'acides aminés dans l'échantillon avec la concentration du même produit d'addition d'acides aminés dans une norme de référence ; et l'identification de la présence ou de l'absence d'une différence de concentration dudit produit d'addition d'acide aminé dans l'échantillon par rapport à la norme de référence ; la présence ou l'absence d'une différence de concentration étant en corrélation avec la présence ou l'absence d'un ASD. L'invention concerne également des algorithmes de diagnostic à utiliser dans les méthodes de l'invention.
