Abstract
(EN) An actuator (100) for moving and securing an object (25) in a specific orientation is provided. The actuator (100) extends essentially along its longitudinal axis (AA'), and includes a flexible structure (1) having multiple inflatable chambers (10a, 10b, 10c). In a pressurized state of the actuator (100), on account of the pressure difference created between the chambers (10), on or more of the chambers (10) inflate, and the flexible structure (1) bends at least along one axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (AA'). A stiffening means (2) of the actuator is connected to the flexible structure (1) at least along two positions (6a, 6b, 6c) located at an offset to the longitudinal axis (AA'). The stiffening means (2) provides bending stiffness to the actuator (100), firmly securing the actuator (100) in the specific orientation. A mechanism (140) secures and mechanically connects the actuator (100) to the object (25), and the object (25) may be a solar panel or a reflective plate. A solar energy harnessing apparatus (120) is further provided, including multiple such mechanisms (140) mounted over the façade (27) of a building (26), for trapping solar energy.
(FR) L'invention concerne un actionneur (100) permettant de déplacer et de fixer un objet (25) dans une orientation spécifique. L'actionneur (100) s'étend sensiblement le long de son axe longitudinal (AA/), et comprend une structure souple (1) comportant de multiples chambres gonflables (10a, 10b, 10c). Dans un état sous pression de l'actionneur (100), en raison de la différence de pression créée entre les chambres (10), au moins une chambre (10) se gonfle, et la structure souple (1) se plie au moins le long d'un axe perpendiculaire à l'axe longitudinal (AA/). Un moyen de raidissement (2) de l'actionneur est relié à la structure souple (1) au moins le long de deux emplacements (6a, 6b, 6c) situés à un certain écart par rapport à l'axe longitudinal (AA/).
