Abstract:
(EN) An embodiment provides a method for quenching hexavalent chromium, including: obtaining a vessel comprising an aqueous sample comprising hexavalent chromium; introducing a reducing agent to the aqueous sample; and mixing, into a mixed solution, the reducing agent and the aqueous sample, wherein the mixing causes the reducing agent to quench the hexavalent chromium and wherein a quantity of the reducing agent comprises a quantity that reduces the hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium.
(FR) Un mode de réalisation concerne un procédé de désactivation du chrome hexavalent comprenant : la fabrication d'une cuve comprenant un échantillon aqueux incluant du chrome hexavalent; l'introduction d'un agent réducteur dans l'échantillon aqueux; et le mélange, dans une solution mixte, de l'agent réducteur et de l'échantillon aqueux, le mélange induisant la désactivation du chrome hexavalent par l'agent réducteur, une quantité de l'agent réducteur comprenant une proportion qui réduit le chrome hexavalent en chrome trivalent.
