Abstract:
(EN) Reducing water permeability in a subterranean formation includes decreasing a viscosity of a petroleum product including at least one of asphaltenes and tar to yield a treatment material, providing the treatment material to an oil-producing well in a subterranean formation, solidifying the treatment material in the subterranean formation, and initiating production from the oil-producing well.
(FR) La présente invention concerne la réduction de la perméabilité à l'eau dans une formation souterraine comprenant la diminution d'une viscosité d'un produit pétrolier comportant les asphaltènes et/ou le goudron pour produire un matériau de traitement, la fourniture du matériau de traitement dans un puits de production de pétrole dans une formation souterraine, la solidification du matériau de traitement dans la formation souterraine, et le lancement de la production à partir du puits de production de pétrole.
