Abstract:
(EN) The disclosed embodiments use 3D city models and shadow mapping to improve altitude fixes in urban environments. In an embodiment, a method comprises: generating a set of three-dimensional (3D) candidate positions in a geographic area of interest; predicting global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal visibility at selected ones of the 3D candidate positions; receiving GNSS signals at a current location of the mobile device; determining observed satellite visibility based on the received GNSS signals; comparing the predicted satellite visibility with the observed satellite visibility; determining a position fix based on a result of the comparing; determining an indoor environment where the mobile device is located based at least on an altitude component of the position fix; obtaining structural data for the identified indoor environment; and determining a floor lower bound for the current location of the mobile device based on the altitude component and the structural data.
(FR) Les modes de réalisation de la présente invention utilisent des modèles de villes 3D et un mappage d'ombres pour améliorer des relevés d'altitude dans des environnements urbains. Dans un mode de réalisation, un procédé comprend : la génération d'un ensemble de positions tridimensionnelles candidates (3D) dans une zone géographique d'intérêt; la prédiction d'une visibilité de signal de système global de navigation par satellite (GNSS) au niveau de positions candidates sélectionnées parmi les positions 3D candidates; la réception de signaux GNSS à un emplacement actuel du dispositif mobile; la détermination d'une visibilité de satellite observée sur la base des signaux GNSS reçus; la comparaison de la visibilité de satellite prédite avec la visibilité de satellite observée; la détermination d'un relevé de position sur la base d'un résultat de la comparaison; la détermination d'un environnement intérieur où le dispositif mobile est situé sur la base au moins d'une composante d'altitude du relevé de position; l'obtention de données structurales pour l'environnement intérieur identifié; et la détermination d'une limite inférieure d'étage pour l'emplacement actuel du dispositif mobile sur la base de la composante d'altitude et des données structurales.
