Abstract:
(EN) Systems and methods may be provided to digitally control both position and crossover pressure in a double-acting pneumatic actuator, in view of constraints (e.g., a deadband range comprising a set point) set on the crossover pressure. Control may be achieved, via a control algorithm (e.g., a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) control algorithm) acting upon inputs of actuator position feedback and crossover pressure feedback (e.g., as indicated by pressure feedback of each respective pneumatic chamber). Further, the embodiments described herein may reduce the necessary frequency of control actions for adjusting crossover pressure, thus reducing wear on process components, and allowing for finer control of actuator position.
(FR) L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant une commande numérique de la position et de la pression moyenne dans un actionneur pneumatique à double action, en tenant compte de contraintes (par exemple une plage de zone morte comprenant une valeur de consigne) appliquées à la pression moyenne. Une commande peut être réalisée, par l'intermédiaire d'un algorithme de commande (par exemple un algorithme de commande à entrées multiples, sorties multiples (MIMO)) agissant sur des entrées de rétroaction de position d'actionneur et de rétroaction de pression moyenne (par exemple comme indiqué par une rétroaction de pression de chaque chambre pneumatique respective). En outre, les modes de réalisation de la présente invention peuvent réduire la fréquence nécessaire d'actions de commande destinées à régler la pression moyenne, réduisant ainsi l'usure des éléments du processus et permettant une commande plus précise de la position de l'actionneur.
