Abstract:
(EN) Rotary belt cup atomizing apparatus (10) driven by a turbine (47) mounted on a rotatable motor shaft (44) supported within an air bearing assembly is provided. The air bearing assembly includes a cylindrical main air bearing (30) supporting the motor shaft (44), a proximal, annular, disk-shaped thrust bearing (56) and a distal, annular, disk-shaped thrust bearing (54) supporting the turbine (47), and including vibration-damping "0"-rings (50, 52, 46, 48) positioned adjacent the bearings. In operation, air supplied to the apparatus drives the turbine (47) and supports the turbine (47) and motor shaft (44) such that all rotating surfaces of the atomizing apparatus (10) are supported in air, and universal, 3-dimensional vibration damping, both axial and radial, of all rotating components is provided.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un appareil d’atomisation de coupelle de courroie rotative (10) entraîné par une turbine (47) montée sur un arbre de moteur rotatif (44) maintenu à l’intérieur d’un ensemble palier à air. L’ensemble palier à air comprend un palier à air principal cylindrique (30) maintenant l’arbre de moteur (44), un palier à poussée en forme de disque annulaire, proximal (56) et un palier à poussée en forme de disque annulaire, distal (54) maintenant la turbine (47), et comprenant des joints toriques d’amortissement des vibrations (50, 52, 46, 48) positionnés adjacents aux paliers.
