Abstract:
(EN) A light-steering optic (44) comprises a dielectric substrate (50), a liquid crystal (62), and a series of transparent conductors (64). The dielectric substrate (50) has a series of mutually parallel trenches (52) formed therein. A wall (54) of each trench (52) extends up the trench to an adjacent land portion (56) of the dielectric substrate, and the liquid crystal (62) is arranged within each trench (52). An adherent electrode (58) extends up the wall of the trench and onto a corresponding contact zone (60), which partly covers the land portion (56) adjacent to that wall. The series of transparent conductors (64) crosses over the series of parallel trenches (52). Each transparent conductor (64) selectively contacts one or more of the electrodes (58) at a corresponding one or more contact zones (60).
(FR) La présente invention concerne une optique de direction de la lumière (44) comprenant un substrat diélectrique (50), un cristal liquide (62), et une série de conducteurs transparents (64). Une série de tranchées (52) parallèles entre elles sont formées dans le substrat diélectrique (50). Une paroi (54) de chaque tranchée (52) s'étend le long de la hauteur de la tranchée pour atteindre une partie d'appui (56) adjacente du substrat diélectrique, et le cristal liquide (62) est disposé au sein de chaque tranchée (52).
