Abstract:
(EN) Provided are a liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the liquid crystal display device has excellent light use efficiency, low power consumption can be achieved, and the process of driving pixels is easy. This liquid crystal display device (1) is provided with: a first substrate (9) having a display surface; a second substrate (10) disposed facing the first substrate (9); a liquid crystal layer (12) sealed between the first substrate (9) and the second substrate (10); and a reflective plate (11) by which light that is incident through the first substrate (9) and has passed through the liquid crystal layer (12) is reflected toward the first substrate (9). The light reflected by the reflective plate (11) is used to display an image on the display surface. The first substrate (9) has a color filter in which the color of transmissive light that can pass through is set for each of pixel regions (3, 4, 5) on the display surface, and the color filter includes, for each of the pixel regions (3, 4, 5), chromatic color region (31, 41, 51), in which the transmissive light is limited to a predetermined single color, and an achromatic color region (7), in which the transmissive light is not limited to the single color.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides et son procédé de fabrication, le dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides ayant une excellente efficacité d'utilisation de lumière, une faible consommation d'énergie pouvant être obtenue, et le procédé d'attaque de pixels étant facile. Ce dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides (1) comprend : un premier substrat (9) ayant une surface d'affichage ; un second substrat (10) disposé en regard du premier substrat (9) ; une couche de cristaux liquides (12) isolée entre le premier substrat (9) et le second substrat (10) ; et une plaque réfléchissante (11) par laquelle la lumière qui est incidente à travers le premier substrat (9) et qui a traversé la couche de cristaux liquides (12) est réfléchie vers le premier substrat (9). La lumière réfléchie par la plaque réfléchissante (11) est utilisée pour afficher une image sur la surface d'affichage. Le premier substrat (9) comprend un filtre de couleur dans lequel la couleur de la lumière transmissive qui peut traverser est réglée pour chacune des régions de pixel (3, 4, 5) sur la surface d'affichage. Le filtre de couleur comprend, pour chacune des régions de pixel (3, 4, 5), une région de couleur chromatique (31, 41, 51), dans laquelle la lumière transmissive est limitée à une couleur unique prédéfinie, et une région de couleur achromatique (7), dans laquelle la lumière transmissive n'est pas limitée à la couleur unique.
