Abstract:
(EN) According to certain embodiments, a method by a wireless device is provided for beam-based random access. The method includes receiving, from a network node, a handover command, the handover command comprising at least one suitability threshold. Measurements of each of a plurality of beams detected by the wireless device are performed. The measurements of the plurality of beams are compared to the at least one suitability threshold. A particular beam is selected based on the comparison, and a random access procedure is initiated.
(FR) Selon certains modes de réalisation, l'invention concerne un procédé par un dispositif sans fil pour un accès aléatoire basée sur un faisceau. Le procédé consiste à recevoir, en provenance d'un noeud de réseau, une instruction de transfert intercellulaire, l'instruction de transfert comprenant au moins un seuil d'adéquation. Des mesures de chacun d'une pluralité de faisceaux détectés par le dispositif sans fil sont effectuées. Les mesures de la pluralité de faisceaux sont comparées à au moins un seuil d'adéquation. Un faisceau particulier est sélectionné sur la base de la comparaison, et une procédure d'accès aléatoire est déclenchée.
