Abstract:
(EN) An actuator member (22) has a body (24) formed of a composite material of electroactive material (EAM) particles (32) and a compliant matrix material (34). The composite material of the body is materially structured such that it incorporates one or more continuous material paths extending between a first (30) and second (31) major surface of the actuator body, each path including at least one EAM particle, and wherein all material of the path has an electrical resistivity equal to or less than that of the EAM particle(s).
(FR) L'invention concerne un élément actionneur (22) doté d'un corps (24) formé d'un matériau composite constitué de particules de matériau électroactif (EAM) (32) et d'un matériau de matrice souple (34). Le matériau composite du corps est structuré matériellement de telle sorte qu'il incorpore un ou plusieurs trajets de matériau continu s'étendant entre une première (30) et une seconde (31) surface principale du corps d'actionneur. Chaque trajet comprend au moins une particule EAM et tous les matériaux du trajet présentent une résistivité électrique égale ou inférieure à celle de la ou des particules EAM.
