Abstract:
(EN) A method for detection of an adulterated diesel fuel in a sample is disclosed. The method includes contacting a sample with a molecular probe, the molecular probe having a photoluminescence which is environmentally sensitive; collecting the photoluminescence from the molecular probe; and determining whether the photoluminescence is indicative of adulterated diesel fuel. A test strip for the detection of adulterated diesel fuel in a sample is disclosed, comprising a molecular probe embedded in a substrate and/or immobilized to the substrate, the molecular probe having a photoluminescence which is environmentally sensitive to adulterated diesel fuel. The method and test strips are designed to be robust, portable, and within the capabilities of untrained personnel.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de détection d’un carburant diesel adultéré dans un échantillon. Le procédé comprend la mise en contact d’un échantillon avec une sonde moléculaire, la sonde moléculaire ayant une photoluminescence qui est sensible à l’environnement ; la collecte de la photoluminescence provenant de la sonde moléculaire ; et la détermination du fait que la photoluminescence est ou non indicative d’un carburant diesel adultéré. L’invention concerne en outre une bandelette réactive pour la détection de carburant diesel adultéré dans un échantillon, comprenant une sonde moléculaire incorporée dans un substrat et/ou immobilisée sur le substrat, la sonde moléculaire ayant une photoluminescence qui est sensible de façon environnementale à un carburant diesel adultéré. Le procédé et les bandelettes réactives sont conçus pour être robustes, portables, et dans les capacités de personnel non formé.
