Abstract

Methods are provided for calibrating a millimeter wave active antenna array using over-the-air measurements and an optimization algorithm. The transmit and receive paths may be optimized separately, and the optimization may be performed on the magnitude and phase separately or together. The parameter optimized may include the received power of the main lobe or the received power at the location of a null in some embodiments.

L'invention concerne des procédés d'étalonnage d'un réseau d'antennes actives à ondes millimétriques à l'aide de mesures prises dans l'air et d'un algorithme d'optimisation. Les trajets d'émission et de réception peuvent être optimisés séparément et l'optimisation peut être effectuée sur l'amplitude et sur la phase, séparément ou ensemble. Le paramètre optimisé peut comprendre la puissance reçue du lobe principal ou la puissance reçue à l'emplacement d'un vide, dans certains modes de réalisation.
