Abstract
(EN) A reflective display tile (100) can be used in connection with a static or video display. The tile (100) includes a transparent substrate (110) having a front surface (112), a rear surface (114), and a peripheral edge (116) surrounding the front and rear surfaces (112, 114), an electrostatic shutter array (130) disposed at the front surface (112) of said substrate (110), a reflective medium (150) disposed at the rear surface (114) of the substrate (110), and drive electronics (180) disposed rearward of the reflective medium (150). The shutter array (130) and drive electronics (180) are configured so that the tile (100) is tileable and can be abutted at any of its peripheral edges (116) against identical tiles (100) to form a display with substantially no perceived optical interface between adjacent tiles (100). Another embodiment includes an opaque substrate (310) such as a circuit board.
(FR) L'invention concerne un pavé d'affichage réfléchissant (100) pouvant être utilisé en connexion avec un afficheur statique ou vidéo.
