Abstract

A thermal energy storage unit is disclosed. The system comprising: a tube having at least one inlet and at least one outlet for a first fluid; a plurality of plate- shaped or box-shaped capsules having a second fluid therein, wherein the plurality of capsules is arranged inside the tube to form a plurality of stacks of capsules; wherein: the first fluid is a heat transfer fluid for exchanging heat with the second fluid; the second fluid is a phase-change medium; wherein a plurality of defined narrow flow paths for the first fluid is provided between the capsules. The defined flow paths increase the efficiency of the system.

L'invention concerne une unité de stockage d'énergie thermique. Le système comprend : un tube comportant au moins une entrée et au moins une sortie pour un premier fluide ; une pluralité de capsules en forme de plaque ou en forme de boîte comportant un second fluide à leur intérieur, la pluralité de capsules étant agencées à l'intérieur du tube afin de former une pluralité d'empilements de capsules. Le premier fluide est un fluide de transfert de chaleur destiné à échanger de la chaleur avec le second fluide ; le second fluide est un agent à changement de phase ; une pluralité de circuits d'écoulement étroits définis pour le premier fluide sont agencés entre les capsules. Les circuits d'écoulement définis augmentent l'efficacité du système.
