A poly(phenylene ether) composition includes specific amounts of a poly(phenylene ether), a hydrogenated block copolymer of an alkenyl aromatic monomer and a conjugated diene, a polypropylene or a polyethylene, a low molecular weight polybutene, a flame retardant, a liquid ultraviolet absorbing agent, and a poly(alkylene oxide). The composition can be useful as an insulation or jacketing material for wires and cables, where the insulation and jacketing materials including the composition can have reduced surface blooming.

La présente invention concerne une composition de poly(phénylène éther) comprenant des quantités spécifiques d'un poly(phénylène éther), d'un copolymère séquencé hydrogéné d'un monomère alcényle aromatique et d'un diène conjugué, d'un polypropylène ou polyéthylène, d'un polybutène de faible poids moléculaire, d'un produit ignifuge, d'un agent absorbant les ultraviolets et d'un poly(oxyde d'alkylène). La composition peut être utile en tant que matériau d'isolation ou de gainage pour des fils et des câbles, les matériaux d'isolation et de gainage comprenant la composition pouvant présenter une efflorescence de surface réduite.
