The invention concerns a method for preventing a risk of freezing in a reducing-agent feeding device of a system for selective catalytic reduction in an exhaust line (10), a freezing temperature specific to the agent being stored, the system comprising a controller responsible for the operation of the system and transmitting pulses to an injector (6), the controller being inactive when the engine (1) is switched off. With the engine (1) switched off, the controller wakes up, at intervals, in order to initiate a transmission of a specific electrical pulse to the injector (6) with measurements of a current and a voltage of the electrical pulse giving a value of resistance for the injector (6). An estimation is performed of an agent temperature at the injector (6) depending on the measured resistance, and, when at least the temperature thus estimated is less than the freezing temperature, a draining of the device is commenced.

L'invention concerne un procédé de prévention d'un risque de gel dans un dispositif d'alimentation en agent réducteur d'un système de réduction catalytique sélective dans une ligne (10) d'échappement, une température de gel spécifique à l'agent étant mémorisée, le système comprenant un contrôleur en charge du fonctionnement du système et émettant des impulsions vers un injecteur (6), le contrôleur étant inactif à moteur (1) éteint. A moteur (1) éteint, il est procédé, à des intervalles de temps, au réveil du contrôleur pour initier une émission d'une impulsion spécifique électrique vers l'injecteur (6) avec mesures d'une intensité et d'une tension de l'impulsion électrique donnant une valeur de résistance pour l'injecteur (6). Il est effectué une estimation d'une température d'agent au niveau de l'injecteur (6) en fonction de la résistance mesurée, et, quand au moins la température ainsi estimée est inférieure à la température de gel, il est lancé une purge du dispositif.
