Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Abgasturboladers (2), der eine ansteuerbare elektrische Maschine (3) aufweist, die mit einer Laderwelle (7) drehgekoppelt ist und in Abhängigkeit von einer Leistungsanforderung motorisch oder generatorisch betrieben wird. Es ist vorgesehen, dass eine Drehzahl der Laderwelle (7) überwacht wird, und dass bei Überschreiten einer vorgebbaren Grenzdrehzahl und/oder eines vorgebbaren Grenzdrehzahlgradienten die elektrische Maschine (3) zumindest zeitweise generatorisch betrieben wird.

The invention relates to a method for operating an exhaust gas turbocharger (2) having an actuatable electric machine (3) which is rotationally coupled to a charger shaft (7) and operates as a motor or as a generator depending on a performance requirement. According to the invention, a rotational speed of the charger shaft (7) is monitored, and the electric machine (3) is at least periodically operated as a generator when a predefinable rotational speed limit and/or a predefinable rotational speed limit gradient is exceeded.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de faire fonctionner un turbocompresseur à gaz d'échappement (2), lequel comprend une machine électrique (3) pouvant être entraînée, couplée en rotation à un arbre de suralimentation (7) et qui est actionnée par moteur ou générateur en fonction d'une exigence de performance. Selon l'invention, une vitesse de rotation de l'arbre de suralimentation (7) est surveillée et en cas de dépassement d'une vitesse de rotation limite pouvant être prédéfinie et/ou d'un gradient de vitesse de rotation pouvant être prédéfinie, la machine électrique (3) est actionnée au moins par intermittence par générateur.
