Abstract:
(EN) Provided herein is a system and method for mitigating premature light deactivation of light deactivated adhesive drapes. One aspect provides a system comprising a drape, a photosensitive adhesive layer, and a release agent, where the system is adapted to be coupled to a tissue site and released therefrom upon or after exposure to an external stimulus such as certain wavelengths of light. The system may have a filter layer to prevent the photosensitive adhesive from being exposed to deactivation wavelengths prematurely. The filter layer may be printed directly onto the drape and may be removable after exposure to a solvent, such as isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The filter layer may also be a filter adhesive layer. Another aspect provides a method for application and removal of a drape using by removing one or more of the filter layer and/or the filter adhesive layer and applying light to the drape to deactivate the photosensitive adhesive layer and promote easy, clean, and less painful removal of the drape.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système et une méthode pour atténuer la désactivation prématurée par la lumière de champs adhésifs désactivés par la lumière. Un aspect de l'invention concerne un système comprenant un champ, une couche adhésive photosensible et un agent de libération, le système étant conçu pour être couplé à un site tissulaire et libéré de celui-ci jusqu'à ou après exposition à un stimulus externe tel que certaines longueurs d'onde de lumière. Le système peut avoir une couche filtrante pour empêcher l'adhésif photosensible d'être exposé à des longueurs d'onde de désactivation prématurément. La couche filtrante peut être imprimée directement sur le champ et peut être retirée après exposition à un solvant, tel que l'alcool isopropylique (IPA). La couche adhésive peut également être une couche adhésive filtrante. Un autre aspect de l'invention concerne une méthode d'application et de retrait d'un champ à l'aide du retrait d'une ou de plusieurs couches filtrantes et/ou de la couche adhésive filtrante et de l'application de la lumière au champ pour désactiver la couche adhésive photosensible et favoriser un retrait facile, propre et moins douloureux du champ.
