Abstract:
(EN) In accordance with one or more embodiments, a dielectric coupler includes a neck portion configured to receive a first electromagnetic waves from a hollow waveguide. A plurality of arms is configured to generate, responsive to the first electromagnetic waves, second electromagnetic waves along a surface of a transmission medium, wherein the plurality of arms each end at differing azimuthal orientations relative to the transmission medium and wherein the second electromagnetic waves propagate along the surface of the transmission medium without requiring an electrical return path. A splitter portion is configured to split the first electromagnetic waves among the plurality of arms.
(FR) Selon un ou plusieurs modes de réalisation, l'invention concerne un coupleur diélectrique qui comprend une partie col conçue pour recevoir des premières ondes électromagnétiques provenant d'un guide d'ondes creux. Une pluralité de bras est conçue pour produire, en réponse aux premières ondes électromagnétiques, des secondes ondes électromagnétiques le long d'une surface d'un support de transmission, la pluralité de bras se terminant chacun à des orientations azimutales différentes par rapport au support de transmission et les secondes ondes électromagnétiques se propageant le long de la surface du support de transmission sans nécessiter de voie de retour électrique. Une partie de séparation est conçue pour diviser les premières ondes électromagnétiques parmi la pluralité de bras.
