Abstract:
(EN) In accordance with one or more embodiments, a dielectric coupler includes a neck portion configured to receive a first electromagnetic wave from a hollow waveguide. A flared portion is configured to generate, responsive to the first electromagnetic wave, a second electromagnetic wave along a surface of a transmission medium, wherein the flared portion at least partially surrounds the transmission medium, wherein the second electromagnetic wave propagates along the surface of the transmission medium without requiring an electrical return path. A tapered portion is configured to interface the neck portion to the flared portion.
(FR) Selon un ou plusieurs modes de réalisation, un coupleur diélectrique comprend une partie de col configurée pour recevoir une première onde électromagnétique provenant d'un guide d'ondes creux. Une partie évasée est configurée pour générer, en réponse à la première onde électromagnétique, une seconde onde électromagnétique le long d'une surface d'un support de transmission, la partie évasée entourant au moins partiellement le milieu de transmission, la seconde onde électromagnétique se propageant le long de la surface du support de transmission sans nécessiter un trajet de retour électrique. Une partie biseautée est configurée pour relier la partie de col à la partie évasée.
