Examples described herein generally relate to displaying an image on a display device where a motion during a latency between a first time associated with activating a first portion of the display device and a second time associated with activating a second portion of the display device is predicted. At least a second portion of an image, to be displayed at the second time, is distorted based at least in part on a function of the motion and the latency to compensate for the latency. A first portion of the image is displayed at the first time by activating the first portion of the display device. The second portion of the image, as distorted, is displayed at the second time by activating the second portion of the display device.

Des exemples de la présente invention se rapportent d'une manière générale à l'affichage d'une image sur un dispositif d'affichage selon lequel un mouvement pendant une latence entre un premier instant associé à l'activation d'une première partie du dispositif d'affichage et un second instant associé à l'activation d'une seconde partie du dispositif d'affichage est prédit. Au moins une seconde partie d'une image, devant être affichée au second instant, est déformée sur la base au moins en partie d'une fonction du mouvement et de la latence pour compenser la latence. Une première partie de l'image est affichée au premier instant par activation de la première partie du dispositif d'affichage. La seconde partie de l'image, telle que déformée, est affichée au second instant par activation de la seconde partie du dispositif d'affichage.
