Abstract:
(EN) The present disclosure provides a system and method for switching firmware autonomously by a storage controller. The system and method include determining, by a switcher module of the storage controller, satisfaction of a debug condition based upon values of parameters of the debug condition. The debug condition is indicative of a problem within a storage system that includes the storage controller that facilitates communication between a host device and a non-volatile storage of the storage system. The system and method further include switching, by the switcher module, operation of the storage system from a primary firmware to a secondary firmware based upon the determination of the switcher module that the debug condition has been satisfied. The switching from the primary firmware to the secondary firmware occurs automatically without a switching request from the host device.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de commutation de micrologiciel de manière autonome par un contrôleur de mémoire. Le système et le procédé consistent à déterminer, par un module commutateur du contrôleur de mémoire, la satisfaction d'une condition de débogage sur la base de valeurs de paramètres de la condition de débogage. La condition de débogage indique un problème dans un système de mémoire qui comprend le contrôleur de mémoire qui facilite la communication entre un dispositif hôte et une mémoire non volatile du système de mémoire. Le système et le procédé consistent en outre à commuter, par le module commutateur, le fonctionnement du système de mémoire d'un micrologiciel primaire à un micrologiciel secondaire sur la base de la détermination par le module commutateur indiquant que la condition de débogage a été satisfaite. La commutation du micrologiciel primaire au micrologiciel secondaire se produit automatiquement sans requête de commutation en provenance du dispositif hôte.
