Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to an internal combustion engine comprising a set of combustion chambers, each combustion chamber (2) being provided with a controllable intake valve (7) configured for opening and closing an intake port (8), a controllable exhaust valve (9) configured for opening and closing an exhaust port (10), a piston (5) displaceable back and forth in said combustion chamber (2) between a top dead center (TDC) and a bottom dead center (BDC), and a fuel injector (14). The internal combustion engine (1) further comprising an intake manifold (12) connected to the intake port (8) of each combustion chamber of said set of combustion chambers. The internal combustion engine (1) is configured to be operated in a low load mode (LL), wherein each combustion chamber (2) is configured to be driven in four-stroke operation comprising a 720 crank angle degrees cycle, and is configured to open the intake port (8) during the exhaust stroke, the intake port (8) starting to open in the range 610 to 690 CAD,closing the exhaust port (10) during the exhaust stroke, the exhaust port (10) becomes fully closed in the range 630 to 710 CAD,forcing the exhaust gas into the intake manifold (12) by means of the piston (5),and mixing fuel and exhaust gas in the intake manifold (12).
(FR) L'invention concerne un moteur à combustion interne comprenant un ensemble de chambres de combustion, chaque chambre de combustion (2) étant munie d'une soupape d'admission réglable (7) conçue pour ouvrir et pour fermer un orifice d'admission (8), une soupape d'échappement réglable (9) conçue pour ouvrir et pour fermer un orifice d'échappement (10), un piston (5) déplaçable en va-et-vient dans ladite chambre de combustion (2) entre un point mort haut (PMH) et un point mort bas (PMB), et un injecteur de combustible (14). Le moteur à combustion interne (1) comprend en outre un collecteur d'admission (12) relié à l'orifice d'admission (8) de chaque chambre de combustion de l'ensemble de chambres de combustion. Le moteur à combustion interne (1) est conçu pour fonctionner en mode à faible charge (LL), chaque chambre de combustion (2) étant conçue pour être entraînée dans un fonctionnement à quatre temps comprenant un cycle à 720 degrés d'angle de vilebrequin (CAD) et conçu pour ouvrir l'orifice d'admission (8) pendant la course d'échappement, l'orifice d'admission (8) commençant à s'ouvrir dans la plage entre 610 et 690 CAD, fermant l'orifice d'échappement (10) pendant la course d'échappement, l'orifice d'échappement (10) étant complètement fermé dans la plage entre 630 et 710 CAD, forçant le gaz d'échappement dans le collecteur d'admission (12) au moyen du piston (5), et mélangeant le combustible et le gaz d'échappement dans le collecteur d'admission (12).
