Abstract:
(EN) A redox flow battery cell which is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separation membrane that is interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. This redox flow battery cell is configured to have: an overlapping region where the positive electrode and the negative electrode overlap with each other, with the separation membrane being interposed therebetween; and a non-overlapping region where at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode does not overlap with the other, with the separation membrane being interposed therebetween. This redox flow battery cell is also configured such that the total area of the non-overlapping region is from 0.1% to 20% (inclusive) of the area of the overlapping region.
(FR) L'invention porte sur une cellule de batterie à flux redox qui comporte une électrode positive, une électrode négative et un élément de séparation qui est interposé entre l'électrode positive et l'électrode négative. Cette cellule de batterie à flux redox est configurée pour avoir : une région de chevauchement où l'électrode positive et l'électrode négative se chevauchent, la membrane de séparation étant interposée entre celles-ci; et une région de non-chevauchement où l'électrode positive et/ou l'électrode négative ne se chevauchent pas, la membrane de séparation étant interposée entre celles-ci. Cette cellule de batterie à flux redox est également configurée de telle sorte que la surface totale de la région de non-chevauchement est de 0,1 % à 20 % (inclus) de la zone de la région de chevauchement.
