a foldable portion foldably connecting the first and second planar portions, and 380 configured to be foldable along a fold-line;

each of the first and second pairs of sides being defined as parts of the respective planar portion on either side of a respective first dividing line extending along the respective planar portion from a centre point along the fold-line, and perpendicular to the fold-line; each side of each of the first and second pairs of sides comprises at least one of 385 a magnetic area and an attractable area, each magnetic area on one of the planar portions being configured to attract a corresponding attractable area on the other of the planar portions when the planar portions are brought to face one another, the magnetic area or the attractable area on one side of the pair of sides of each planar portion being separated from the magnetic area or the attractable area on the other side of the pair of sides of the 390 respective planar portion; and

a comfort zone on one of the first and second planar portions disposed between the magnetic or the attractable areas of said one of the first and second planar portions, being traversed by the respective first dividing line and being formed at a location configured, in use, to correspond with the lateral malleolus or the medial malleolus of a 395 foot.

2. A footwear ornamentation element according to Claim 1, wherein on each of the planar portions, each side of the respective pairs of sides comprises at least two of a magnetic area and an attractable area spaced apart from each other on opposite sides

400 of a respective second dividing line which extends across the respective planar portion, and which intersects the respective first dividing line.

3. A footwear ornamentation element according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the comfort 405 zone comprises at least one of reduced thickness, a cut out, or a material having

increased flexibility compared to at least a portion of the remainder of the respective planar portion.

4. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims,

410 wherein the foldable portion has a reduced thickness compared to the thickness of the first and second planar portions.

A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the thickness of the first planar portion is substantially the same as the thickness of the second planar portion.

A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, wherein the thickness of one of the first and second planar portions is greater than the thickness of the other one of the first and second planar portions.

A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein at least one of the first and second planar portions comprises a firm though pliable material.

425 8. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein at least one of the first and second planar portions comprises a homogenous material.

9. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, 430 wherein at least one of the first and second planar portions comprises one or more inlayer coated by one or more sheathing layer.

10. A footwear ornamentation element according to Claim 9, wherein the magnetic and attractable areas are embedded within the inlayer.

435

11. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the first and second planar portions and the foldable portion are integrally formed from a continuous piece of material.

12. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of Claims 1 to 10, wherein the first and second planar portions are each made of a different piece of material.

13. A footwear ornamentation element according Claim 12, wherein the first and second planar portions are each made of a different material.

14. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the flexibility of the first and second planar portions is substantially the same.

15. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of Claims 1 to 13, wherein the flexibility of the first and second planar portions is different.

16. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each of the magnetic areas comprises at least one magnet and each of the attractable areas comprises at least one magnet, ferromagnetic element or a material attractable by a magnet.

17. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each of the magnetic areas comprises at least one magnet disposed therein in pre-planned specific location, a longitudinal pattern, an arcuate pattern, or a combination thereof.

18. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the first portion and the second portion are symmetrical about the folding portion in their geometry or more particularly in their peripheral geometry.

19. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of Claims 1 to 17, wherein the first portion and the second portion are asymmetric and differ in their geometry or more particularly in their peripheral geometry.

20. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein at least one of the first and second planar portions comprises pre-formed cut lines to facilitate cutting of the ornamentation element to suit different types, shapes and sizes of footwear.

21. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the geometry of at least one of the first and second planar portions corresponds with a particular location at a footwear quarter.

22. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, 480 wherein the first and second planar portions each comprise two surfaces, and at least one of the surfaces of at least one of the first and second planar portions comprises an illustrated ornamentation configured to be displayed by the footwear ornamentation element.

23. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, 485 wherein the first and second planar portions each comprise two surfaces, and at least one of the surfaces of at least one of the first and second planar portions is configured to receive a decoration element thereon.

24. A footwear ornamentation element according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the first and second planar portions each comprise two surfaces, and at least one of the surfaces of at least one of the first and the second planar portions comprises a textured surface.
