Methods and apparatus are provided for fast transmission by a UE of scheduling requests for low latency data transmission. When transmit data for transmission on an uplink shared channel arrives, the UE determines whether the scheduling request to be sent by the user equipment to request uplink resources for transmission of the data will overlap a scheduled data transmission. If it is determined that the scheduling request will overlap the scheduled data transmission, the UE may preempt the scheduled data transmission to transmit the scheduling request. Preemption may be based on one or more predetermined criteria including the priority of the new transmit data, the periodicity of the scheduling request interval, and the remaining duration of the ongoing data transmission.

L'invention concerne des procédés et un appareil pour la transmission rapide par un UE de demandes de programmation en vue d'une transmission de données à faible latence. Lorsque des données de transmission en vue d'une transmission sur un canal partagé de liaison montante arrivent, l'UE détermine si la demande de programmation à émettre par l'équipement d'utilisateur pour demander des ressources de liaison montante pour la transmission des données va chevaucher une transmission de données programmée. S'il est déterminé que la demande de programmation va chevaucher la transmission de données programmée, l'UE peut préempter la transmission de données programmée pour transmettre la demande de programmation. La préemption peut être basée sur un ou plusieurs critères prédéterminés incluant la priorité des nouvelles données de transmission, la périodicité de l'intervalle des demandes de programmation, et la durée restante de la transmission de données en cours.
