Abstract:
(EN) A laser detection (1) system and method of two way communication comprising: a Mach Zehnder interferometer, the Mach Zehnder interferometer comprising: an entry beam splitter (2) for splitting incident light into a first arm (21), having an arm length LI and a second arm (22) having an arm length L2; a modulation stage (5) for receiving a modulation signal and applying a phase difference to the second arm, the magnitude of the phase difference depending upon the magnitude of the modulation signal; an exit beam splitter (3) for recombining light from the first arm with light from the second arm to create a first output (31) and a second output (32); a detection stage (6) comprising a first detector at the first output for detecting intensity modulation caused by interference of the recombined light; and a signal processor (8) communicably connected to both the modulation stage and the detection stage.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système de détection laser et un procédé de communication bidirectionnelle comprenant : un interféromètre de Mach Zehnder, l'interféromètre de Mach Zehnder comprenant : un séparateur de faisceau d'entrée servant à diviser la lumière incidente en un premier bras, ayant une longueur de bras L1 et un second bras ayant une longueur de bras L2 ; un étage de modulation servant à recevoir un signal de modulation et à appliquer une différence de phase au second bras, l'amplitude de la différence de phase dépendant de l'amplitude du signal de modulation ; un séparateur de faisceau de sortie servant à recombiner la lumière en provenance du premier bras avec la lumière en provenance du second bras pour créer une première sortie et une seconde sortie ; un étage de détection comprenant un premier détecteur au niveau de la première sortie servant à détecter une modulation d'intensité provoquée par les interférences de la lumière recombinée ; et un processeur de signaux connecté en communication à la fois à l'étage de modulation et à l'étage de détection.
