Abstract:
(EN) In pathology, the main task is to recognise particular morphological features on slides that enable a distinction to be made between normal and diseased tissue. Digital pathology enables many different focal planes to be recorded for inspection by a pathologist. Typically this inspection is achieved by flipping through entire layers, which is unwieldy and slow. The present application discusses an approach which identifies unique objects in a plurality of z-stacks, and computes individual display images independently from each other. These images are composed into multi-view data, which can be browsed in many different ways, to enable an easier search of the z-stack to be undertaken.
(FR) En pathologie, la tâche principale est de reconnaître des caractéristiques morphologiques particulières sur des lames qui permettent la distinction entre un tissu normal et un tissu malade. La pathologie numérique permet d'enregistrer de nombreux plans focaux différents en vue d'une inspection par un pathologiste. Généralement, cette inspection est obtenue par retournement à travers les couches entières, ce qui est inconfortable et lent. La présente invention concerne une approche qui identifie des objets uniques dans une pluralité d'empilements z, et calcule des images d'affichage individuelles indépendamment les unes des autres. Lesdites images sont composées de données multi-vues, qui peuvent être parcourues de nombreuses manières différentes, pour permettre une recherche plus facile de l'empilement z.
