Abstract:
(EN) A method of transmitting a request for video data comprises a client device transmitting a request for high-resolution spatial-element frames of a spatial element of a video to a distribution node for each spatial element of the video in a user's field of view for which a client device does not possess a current high-resolution spatial-element frame. The video comprises a plurality of spatial elements and the plurality of spatial-element frames comprises both non-inter-coded spatial-element frames (152) and inter-coded spatial-element frames (151). The request identifies the spatial element and specifies a starting point (179) corresponding substantially to a current time. The request is for data comprising a temporal segment of high- resolution spatial-element frames starting substantially at the starting point (179) and of which the first high-resolution spatial-element frame (173) is not inter coded. The method further comprises the client device receiving the requested data.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de transmission d'une demande de données vidéo qui comprend un dispositif client transmettant une demande de trames d'éléments spatiaux à haute résolution d'un élément spatial d'une vidéo à un noeud de distribution pour chaque élément spatial de la vidéo dans un champ de vision d'un utilisateur pour lequel un dispositif client ne possède pas de trame spatiale à haute résolution actuelle. La vidéo comprend une pluralité d'éléments spatiaux et la pluralité de trames d'éléments spatiaux comprend à la fois des trames d'éléments spatiaux non intercodées (152) et des trames d'éléments spatiaux intercodées (151). La demande identifie l'élément spatial et spécifie un point de départ (179) correspondant sensiblement à un moment actuel. La demande est destinée à des données comprenant un segment temporel de trames d'éléments spatiaux à haute résolution commençant sensiblement au point de départ (179) et dont la première trame spatiale à haute résolution (173) n'est pas intercodée. Le procédé comprend en outre le dispositif client recevant les données demandées.
