Abstract:
(EN) A mobile object configured for movement in an area equipped with VLC illumination sources comprises a light sensor arranged to detect illumination from at least one of the illumination sources within the view of the light sensor; a computer arranged to determine from the detected illumination (i) a position of the mobile object relative to the at least one illumination source and (ii) the identifier of the at least one illumination source; and a transceiver. The transceiver can receive from another mobile object a message comprising the position of the other mobile object relative to a source of illumination, and the identifier of that source of illumination. From this, the computer determines from its position and the message a distance from the other mobile object. A mobile object which transmits such a message is also envisaged.
(FR) L'invention concerne un objet mobile conçu pour se déplacer dans une zone équipée de sources d'éclairage VLC. L'objet mobile comprend un capteur de lumière configuré pour détecter un éclairage à partir d'au moins l'une des sources d'éclairage à l'intérieur du champ de vision du capteur de lumière; un ordinateur configuré pour déterminer, à partir de l'éclairage détecté, (i) une position de l'objet mobile par rapport à ladite source d'éclairage et (ii) l'identifiant de ladite source d'éclairage; et un émetteur-récepteur. L'émetteur-récepteur peut recevoir, en provenance d'un autre objet mobile, un message comprenant la position de l'autre objet mobile par rapport à une source d'éclairage et l'identifiant de cette source d'éclairage. À partir de là, l'ordinateur détermine, à partir de sa position et du message, une distance par rapport à l'autre objet mobile. L'invention concerne également un objet mobile qui transmet un tel message.
