Abstract:
(EN) A method of manufacturing a security device, including: providing a substrate having a first and a second side; applying an ablative coating on the first side of the substrate; directing laser light through a mask including laser light transmissive portions corresponding to a desired imagery pattern to be ablated from the ablative coating; focusing laser light transmitted though the mask via projection optics to form a focused mask image on the ablative coating, without passing through a first array of micro-lenses forming part of the security device, resulting in the removal of the ablative coating in a plurality of areas to create multiple patterns, each pattern being viewable at a particular viewing angle or range of angles through the first array of micro-lenses.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un dispositif de sécurité, consistant à : fournir un substrat ayant des premier et second côtés ; appliquer un revêtement ablatif sur le premier côté du substrat ; diriger une lumière laser à travers un masque comprenant des parties transmettant la lumière laser correspondant à un motif d'imagerie souhaité devant être retiré du revêtement ablatif ; focaliser de la lumière laser transmise à travers le masque par l'intermédiaire d'une optique de projection pour former une image de masque focalisée sur le revêtement ablatif, sans passer à travers un premier réseau de microlentilles faisant partie du dispositif de sécurité, conduisant au retrait du revêtement ablatif dans une pluralité de zones pour créer de multiples motifs, chaque motif pouvant être visualisé selon un angle de visualisation particulier ou selon une plage d'angles à travers le premier réseau de microlentilles.
