A correlation apparatus including a sequence generator configured to generate a non-repeating preamble sequence which changes during each of a plurality of time epochs. The correlation apparatus includes a fallthrough correlator having a tapped delay line for receiving a set of complex-valued samples of a received signal. Each of a plurality of complex multipliers of the correlator is coupled to one of the delay line taps. Each multiplier multiplies, during one of the plurality of time epochs, one of the complex-valued samples of the received signal by one of a plurality of matched filter coefficients corresponding to the preamble sequence. A summation module includes a plurality of adders where a last of the plurality of adders outputs a correlation signal. A peak value of the correlation signals exceeds a threshold value when a sufficient correlation exists between the received signal and the values of the preamble sequence.

La présente invention concerne un appareil de corrélation comprenant un générateur de séquence configuré pour générer une séquence de préambule non répétitif qui varie pendant chacune d'une pluralité d'époques temporelles. L'appareil de corrélation comprend un corrélateur de transfert implicite comportant une ligne à retard à dérivations permettant de recevoir un ensemble d'échantillons à valeurs complexes d'un signal reçu. Chaque multiplicateur parmi une pluralité de multiplicateurs complexes du corrélateur est couplé à l'une des dérivations de ligne à retard. Chaque multiplicateur multiplie, pendant une époque parmi la pluralité d'époques temporelles, l'un des échantillons à valeurs complexes du signal reçu par un coefficient parmi une pluralité de coefficients de filtre appariés correspondant à la séquence de préambule. Un module de sommation comprend une pluralité d'additionneurs, un dernier additionneur parmi la pluralité d'additionneurs délivrant un signal de corrélation. Une valeur maximale des signaux de corrélation dépasse une valeur de seuil lorsqu'une corrélation suffisante existe entre le signal reçu et les valeurs de la séquence de préambule.
