Abstract:
(EN) A novel class of compounds is described here. The disclosed novel compounds have one hydrophilic group and two identical hydrophilic ionic groups. The two hydrophilic groups of the disclosed compounds contain or end with a cationic or anionic charged group. A method to synthesize the disclosed novel compounds is also described. The disclosed novel compounds herein can be used as surfactants in an article, product, or composition, or for some other purposes. Also disclosed herein are the corrosion control compositions comprising di-cationic or di-anionic compounds and methods of using thereof in a corrosion control composition to reduce corrosion of a surface in a water system. The disclosed methods or compositions are found to be more effective than those methods or compositions including commonly used single quaternary compounds for mitigating corrosion for a metal surface in water systems.
(FR) L'invention concerne une nouvelle classe de composés. Les nouveaux composés de l'invention présentent un groupe hydrophile et deux groupes ioniques hydrophiles identiques. Les deux groupes hydrophiles des composés décrits contiennent ou se terminent par un groupe chargé cationique ou anionique. L'invention concerne également un procédé de synthèse des nouveaux composés décrits. Les nouveaux composés de l'invention peuvent être utilisés en tant que tensioactifs dans un article, un produit ou une composition ou à d'autres fins. L'invention concerne également des compositions de lutte contre la corrosion comprenant des composés dicationiques ou dianioniques et des procédés d'utilisation correspondants dans une composition de lutte contre la corrosion pour réduire la corrosion d'une surface dans un système à base d'eau. Les procédés ou compositions de l'invention se sont avérés être plus efficaces que les procédés ou compositions comprenant des composés quaternaires uniques couramment utilisés pour atténuer la corrosion d'une surface métallique dans des systèmes à base d'eau.
