Abstract:
(EN) An improved water management system with improved airflow distribution for counterflow evaporative heat exchangers is provided. Such heat exchangers include open cooling towers, closed circuit cooling towers, and evaporative condensers. The improved water management system eliminates water splash out and the noise associated with water splashing. Further when the fan assemblies are located below the evaporative heat exchanger, the improved water management system keeps the fans dry and prevents freezing in subzero climates.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système perfectionné de gestion d'eau doté d'une distribution améliorée d'écoulement d'air et destiné à des échangeurs de chaleur à évaporation à contre-courant. De tels échangeurs de chaleur comprennent des tours de refroidissement ouvertes, des tours de refroidissement en circuit fermé et des condenseurs à évaporation. Le système perfectionné de gestion d'eau élimine les éclaboussures d'eau vers l'extérieur et le bruit associé aux éclaboussures d'eau. En outre, lorsque les ensembles ventilateurs sont situés en dessous de l'échangeur de chaleur à évaporation, le système perfectionné de gestion d'eau maintient les ventilateurs à sec et empêche la congélation dans des climats à température négative.
