Processes for reforming and transalkylating hydrocarbons are disclosed. A method for processing a hydrocarbon stream includes the steps of separating para-xylene from a first mixed-xylene and ethylbenzene-containing stream to produce a first non-equilibrium xylene and ethylbenzene stream and isomerizing the first non-equilibrium xylene and ethylbenzene stream to produce additional para-xylene. The method further includes transalkylating a toluene stream to produce a second mixed-xylene and ethylbenzene-containing stream, separating para-xylene from the second mixed-xylene and ethylbenzene-containing stream to produce a second non-equilibrium xylene and ethylbenzene stream, and isomerizing the second non-equilibrium xylene and ethylbenzene stream using a liquid phase isomerization process to produce additional para-xylene.

La présente invention concerne des procédés de reformage et de transalkylation d'hydrocarbures. L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'un flux d'hydrocarbures comprenant des étapes consistant à séparer du para-xylène d'un premier flux contenant du xylène et de l'éthylbenzène mélangés pour produire un premier flux hors équilibre de xylène et d'éthylbenzène et procéder à l'isomérisation du premier flux hors équilibre de xylène et d'éthylbenzène afin de produire du para-xylène supplémentaire. Le procédé consiste en outre à : procéder à la transalkylation d'un flux de toluène afin de produire un second flux contenant du xylène et de l'éthylbenzène mélangés, séparer du para-xylène du second flux contenant du xylène et de l'éthylbenzène mélangés pour produire un second flux hors équilibre de xylène et de l'éthylbenzène, et procéder à l'isomérisation du second flux hors équilibre de xylène et d'éthylbenzène à l'aide d'un processus d'isomérisation en phase liquide afin de produire du para-xylène supplémentaire.
