Abstract:
(EN) A welding-type system (100) includes a power supply (128) configured to control preheating of an electrode wire (138). A controller (102) is configured to receive a plurality of power values corresponding to a power output of the power supply (128) and calculate an arc power value corresponding to an arc condition at the preheated electrode wire (138) based on a rate of change of the plurality of power values. A target power output value is determined based on the calculated arc power value, and the power output is adjusted based on the determined target power value. A method based on the same principles is also defined.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de type soudage (100) comprenant une alimentation électrique (128) configurée pour commander le préchauffage d'un fil d'électrode (138). Un dispositif de commande (102) est configuré pour recevoir une pluralité de valeurs de puissance correspondant à une sortie de puissance de l'alimentation électrique (128) et calculer une valeur de puissance d'arc correspondant à une condition d'arc au niveau du fil d'électrode (138) préchauffé sur la base d'un taux de changement de la pluralité de valeurs de puissance. Une valeur de sortie de puissance cible est déterminée sur la base de la valeur de puissance d'arc calculée, et la sortie de puissance est ajustée sur la base de la valeur de puissance cible déterminée. L'invention concerne également un procédé reposant sur les mêmes principes.
