Abstract:
(EN) Methods and apparatus are disclosed for correcting for gravitational force variation in measuring the melt flow index of a polymer at a location. For example, some embodiments may involve determining a value representing an extent to which gravitational force at the location varies from standard gravity, such as based at least in part upon the latitude of the location. The value may be used in correcting the melt flow index measured for the polymer using a plastometer at the location.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés et un appareil permettant de corriger une variation de force gravitationnelle dans la mesure de l'indice de fluidité d'un polymère à un emplacement. Par exemple, certains modes de réalisation peuvent consister à déterminer une valeur représentant une étendue à laquelle la force gravitationnelle au niveau de l'emplacement varie par rapport à la gravité standard, par exemple en fonction, au moins en partie, de la latitude de l'emplacement. La valeur peut être utilisée pour corriger l'indice de fluidité mesuré pour le polymère à l'aide d'un plastomètre au niveau l'emplacement.
