Abstract:
(EN) The disclosure generally relates to using directionality to reduce flooding in a wireless mesh network. In an aspect, a node of the wireless mesh network receives a message for a destination node in the wireless mesh network, determines whether or not the message came from a direction of the destination node, drops the message based on determining that the message came from the direction of the destination node, and forwards the message based on determining that the message did not come from the direction of the destination node.
(FR) L'invention concerne d'une manière générale l'utilisation de la directionnalité pour réduire l'inondation dans un réseau maillé sans fil. Selon un aspect, un nœud du réseau maillé sans fil reçoit un message pour un nœud destinataire dans le réseau maillé sans fil, détermine si le message provient ou non d'une direction du nœud destinataire, abandonne le message en se basant la détermination du fait que le message provenait de la direction du nœud destinataire, et retransmet le message en se basant la détermination du fait que le message ne provient pas de la direction du nœud destinataire.
